Almost sounds to me like the 6 by 9s should be ran off the deck.....

OR parrallel everything in the front to get the load down then just back the rear way down.

Passive radiators? LOL. WOW. I've seen them used in CRXs. I've seen them break. NOT built for abuse..... Couldn't get me to try to use some. Aero ported only here. Seen some pretty intense bandpasses but they are a nightmare to tune, or make any changes to, and take up stupid amounts of space.

PHARAOH..... PLEASE post up some pics of your Astro... I wanna see if our ideas of LOUD are the same. I'll try to find some of Turbie (My Caravan)

im planning my new one around my next 3 potential trucks... will be eclipse head unit and JL audio 900.5 amp and i forget the model but the top JL audio compnents and either 8 or 10" w7 or several of there new slim 8"sub... im leaning to the slim 8" sub though...

and as far as thumping a bug... me and my buddy were talking about a little project involving a newer bug and a 22" jackhammer... but we are both too broke for it at this time... 8 grand sub let alone the power it needs will be a project for later LOL

god please dont buy one of those junk subs! trust me im on alot of audio furums and i know a few different ppl that have made propper enclosures for those subs and fed them clean power and they just burn right up. if you want a giant sub thats gunna get loud look into an Incriminator Audio DP21 now thats something worth spending $$ on. and its under a grand..

That might be your other option. You might be stuck with running the mids and highs off of the deck itself and just dedicating the amplifier to the subs. Those 6x9s just are good enough to handle being put on an amp unless there are multiple speakers installed to spread out the power.

I wish I had pick of the Astro. I eneter a few sound competitions with it. Man, I loved that van!

thought about this... but i would have to pick a channel and series them... they are went for a like 110 watts peak soo 100rms would pretty much let them have maybe 10 min of life even with everything turned all the way down...

come on back in the day you didnt enjoy tuning bandpass boxes LOL thats a favorite past time... god i remember how hot they were 6 years ago... everybody was buying them thinking they were the best thing in the world..

nice van wish you had some internal shots... funny awesome vehicals and stereos = no camera then fish = must buy good camera we screwed up somewhere...

sorry not 8" those 13tw5's.... im not removing crap to build boxes... i want simplicity in sound Q... i am a audiophile and now im older and i just want it crisp and clear.. JL was a main option i have always liked there products they have always treated me good... i have been thinking of going diamond or hertz... might go back with eclipse... but this will all be worked out later.. those companies subs handle my music... most others are designed for hip hop crap and i dont polute my ears or stereos with that crap...

im thinking im just gonna do what he wanted me to do and blow it all up.. the more i think about it thats really what i should do.... when he *****es say i did what you paid/asked me to do... this is all your crap you brought me installed and wired how you wanted it... i can not be held responcible for you buying cheap junk and not even considering how its kinda important to match everything up correctly...

TSNS it IS.... I ran 4 Soundstream 6500Ds to EACH one. (Ran a pair of 18s in Super Street No Wall when I finally won it all in 06).

2K? LOL Times are a changing and so are prices. Get in touch with JD at T3. They are way cheaper now... BUT be forewarned... They are power hungry. I threw an 18 from my van into a buddies Jeep with a box tuned at 33 with a single 6500D and with 4K watts it hardly moved. TSS would be a MUCH better musical choice.

PS Bob is the friggin man..... Still waiting to see a 170 from him... IF he can keep a windshield in it.

Go to Termpro.com man. It's the only reliable car audio forum. May be SPL based but you can't get any closer to the pros then on there....

Cruchfield has "bass blockers" if you choose to run them off the deck.

Seriously though if you don't wanna 'F' up imaging you really need to keep everything that's up front on the front channels of the amp.

As far as the 35 watts.... Play with the crossover. They may be only 35 watts in full range but knock out everything under 100 HZ and they will suck up alot of what that amp has to offer.

#1 rule that is often not understood is that speakers die more often from NOT ENOUGH power then too much. They can't reproduce distortion so whenever the signal begins clipping (or distorting) that's when the speakers die, most of the time this happens when the volume continues going up and the amp is out of power OR people thinking that the "gain" knob is a volume knob..... IT ISN'T!!!!!
