I'll start. I came home from work today and did my normal routine. I came in and looked at my 60 gallon upstairs and then I went downstairs and look at my 55 gallon. Then I went over to check out my 125 gallon aquarium. Catastrophe!! My chinese high fin banded shark was at the top of the water and he looked terrible. Before everybody gets on to me about that he will soon be going to a large pool all his own. My red texas cichlid was picking at him. His slime was oozing off his body. And his eye skin seemed to be peeling. Immediately i saw what had happened. My driftwood fell on the heater knob and turned the temperature up to 95 degrees. He is currently in a hossy tank. I can only hope he makes it. :banghead:

i walked into the room with the fish tank after a 2 week vacation just in time to watch my malawi torpedo attempt to fly, needless to say all holes are covered now

My friend told me i could use old t-shirts as filters in my fx5. I decided to finally try it (I'm broke). Well the spin cycle in my washing machine apparently sucks cause after about an hour all the detergent it didn't get out was in my tank. I noticed my fish laying on their sides. Quickly caught them all and moved them into a 20g i keep running for quarantine. Had to drain the tank clean it all and start fresh. They're all back in now and have been fine for a few weeks.

I always wake up at 8am to feed my fish. My golden kili is kind of my wet pet. I always feed him one cricket per feeding. When i dropped the cricket i noticed that the other fish got it. Usually it's in my killis mouth as soon as it hits the water. I look around my tank and i can't find him. I walk into the kitchen and he has managed to flop 12' away from his tank. He was barely breathing when i found him. A few minutes more and he couldve been dead.

Hahahahaha that's a new one, shirts as filters, maybe next time cut an old pillow use the padding...... They have bulk filter padding at lfs for like 5$.

Mine was a 7 day vacay, came back to my shoal of rbp all huddled together not using their fins just kinda sitting there, not active at all, checked nitrates immediately and they were 100ppm+ dropped everything did a 60% wc asap and luckily it saved them but I've never seen em that rough before.
