Wow that brings back memorys lol. I love chukar they are so pretty. But they are SO damn mean. They are like really really mean birds. They woudl even chase us in the huge enclosure they had.

I had one that I kept in my pigeon coop for 8 years. His name was "Chuck" the chukar. He was a look out bird for my pigeons. When I let them out to fly he would stay in the cage and make a grunting clucks when he saw a hawk. The pigeons seemed to pick up on this and would come back into the cage. He wasn't mean but the pigeons gave him respect. He was like the "God Father". Now I have had other Chuckars that were very mean. I had to keep them in pairs seperate from other birds because they would fight.

Yea when we had them we could only keep them singly and put them together for breeding then out.

I haven't, but I know what you are talking about. Crested wood pigeons and Crowned Pigeons are very pretty birds.

No I haven't but I believe my grandpa has a few. Very odd looking birds.

I have checked it out once when my sister found a parrot and she kept saying it was black .. but it turned out to be a meyers parrot.. i will check out minnah parrots again....... Here is the MINAH Bird picture..they are very pretty too .. how is your african gray Miguel..is it male or female? Does it talk?
