Great looking parrot the greens are popular around here

oh how sweet he is...........

thank you, he flew away on Sunday, and I'm kind of heart broken over it.

I'm sure as people who have birds you can appreciate how bonded you become with them.

omg... thats the worst thing to hear.. i pray you get him back.. put out the word through fliers etc... i would be sick... i can imagine the heartbreak:(

Thank you Liz. I've made tons of fliers to put up and have faxed/ e-mailed them to all shelters and animal control depts in my area. I even posted him on a missing pet web site (I actually even put a thread up of him on here too). He was out side on his leash attached to a pole when my nieghbors car spooked him. He's a very sweet bird but I know that he is also very bonded to me, so I'm hoping that he's trying to find his way home, or has crossed paths with a good person, that can help him find his way back.

I'm afraid his leash might have gotten tangled on something. I heard him calling for me as I called for him about five minutes after he took off but couldn't find him (felt like I was running to the back of the house as he was flying to the front and visa versa a couple of times). I live in a very populated area so I'm hoping someone will find him and bring him home, or at least keep him safe.

here are 2 of mine...i thought the pied pearl was a male, but it just layed some eggs...kinda hard for a male to do...that gets me confused on the other one...it is more vocal but it lacks the bright colors on the face....and it wants to kill me...:D...i put a post about sexing them but the responce i got was just as confused as me...first bird- female, second bird is the maybe

thanx....sorry for your loss...they live that long i thought it was like 6yrs in the small birds...i thought about getting a scarlet macaw, but now i don't have the time to spend with it that it would need (i currently have 1.5yr and 4.5yr old kids)...idk if i could handle a 2yr old in personality bird now and space is an issue...when i do get one i will post it....
