I want some tumblers so bad! They are so funny how they roll around on the ground. But yea I also used to raise ringneck pheasant, chukar, and some domestic type of ducks.

I didn't have Parlor Tumblers, those are the ones that roll around on the ground. I think mine were Belgium Tumblers.

I used to raise Tumblers, Rollers and Homing Pigeons. I had some very nice colors strains too. I also raised Ring-necked phesants, Chuckar Partrige and Mallards.

How did you get into raising all these different birds? :D

Yes you are right. I forgot about that. But Lizz the ones you want to look up are parlor tumblers. My dad told me an old story (obviously a joke) where he bred a roller and a parlor tumbler and it rolled out of the air and smacked into the ground and died. Hahaha yea what a joke.

I guess I got started from my dad. He used to train hunting dogs so we had some pigeons and ducks (don't worry, none were killed in the training, Labradors have soft mouths and are not suppose to squeeze or hurt the birds). Well I decided that I wanted to breed them and release some on our farm (the Mallards and Phesants). I bought a couple of Tumblers and Roller pigeons and I bred them and sold them. I was shocked at how much people would pay for a pair. But about 2 years ago, I got married and moved away from my parents so I to sell/give away a lot of my pets.:( So I'm kind of starting over again.:D

very nice... i had a couple of mallards for my pond in Florida when i lived there and then when i moved to NY took them with me.. but i lost them to coyote or something at night.. they are all awesome birds.. I raised chickens as a kid.. snuck them up to my room because i knew my parents would get rid of them.. even chickens are incredibly smart. ..if you train them. :grinno:
