Ferets are not rodents, but carnivore's who live on rodents

They are not that hard to keep. But they need several hours of exercise every day. It costs you as much time as a dog. It are just not pet.s for everyone.
Disease prone. If you give them good care, no problems. A good, meatbased diet makes a lot of difference.

Not every feret is a good hunter. But every ferret will kill. And that is the thing you don't want, they need to scare out the rabbits, not make a massacre. If you want a ferret for hunting, you best go to other hunters, that breed huntingstrains. Small female ferrets are best, because they can easily turn in rabbitholes.

I start first. On the moment i have got:
Babbel, 7 year sable male
Pieps, 6 year angora sable female
They are the last of the oldies and live in the living room
And then outside lives a group of 5 males that are all 2 year old.

and since this weekend Otto, another sable
Al my ferets are rescues.
When I have a new house with more room and garden, I want to get me some Ferrets as well.

I love ferrets, they make great pets and are very entertaining...I had one but sadly he developed a liver disease and the vet was unable to save him
