When I use to have an arowana i bought
13 packs of Cichlid gold large pellets 14.99 x 13 = $194.87
20 pounds of shrimp 3.99 x 20 = $79.80
mixed seafood (oysters squid,etc) 2 bags x 2 dollars = $4.00
2 pounds of Hikari Carnivore 99.99 x 2 = $199.98
2 boyd vita-chem 16oz 39.99 x 2 = $79.98
1000 superworms 1000 x 1 cent each = $10.00
1000 crickets 1000 x 2 cents each = $20.00
and (drum roll please) 1 feeder. 1 x 10 cents = 10 cents
This could last me a few years

I'll calculate the price in like 5 minutes

Total = $671.26 (tax included) this is in Canada. You know whats cool? I don't even pay for this.

Do you take the outer shell/skin off of the shrimp?

depends on what fish are being feed.

smaller fish I find its harder for them to eat the shell, so I take it off.

For my larger fish I cut the shrimp into 2 sections. and leave the shell on, it provides some vitamins and enhances the color.

forgot to add squid and smelt, i get this from the bait stores when i'm there. the eggs in the smelt i believe ewurm posted about, the fish go nuts for this.

Best day I ever had, I cought about 100 saltwater fish ( i think grunts? ) that lasted me about a year lol :D
 
I shred in a grater frozen pre cooked shrimp into my tanks for everyone ... Severum's, Gourami's, Clown Loach's, Peacock eel's, and even the Convicts love it!
Everyone pigs out!
Also toss chunks in for my Bichirs, Ropefish, Black Ghost Knife, and Pleco's.

My Bristlenose will steal the shrimp from the Bichir's

Venom, what the h+ll were you feeding? LOL! A little overkill on the fish food. Who payed???



Who feeds chicken? Anyone try deer meat? I also might try some green peas for staple. I've heard of people using it but never tried it on my own stock.

My dad pays. Half of that isn't even mine its for my friend for her fish.
