mine always has his head to the floor. does that mean anything? i never see it swim upright and staright like in the this pic.

YUP.. TAT's has a different stance than ARMATUS.

TATS swim/hover with the head towards the bottom practically all the time. I was going to make that comment about your picture.

Never owned an Armatus, but it looks to be the same stance from a Tat and Armatus. At level?

Dont worry X... it is just feeling out the bare bottom of the tank. My big Tats did the same for a few days cause of the reflection of the glass. Every here and there they would snap at the floor to bite the reflection

Here is an old pic of the Tats that John owns now. Just guessing??... but I would think Tat or Armatus would do this on a barebottom glass tank (like I said though... I think)??

Yeah, the back fin on my little guys are more pointy than round like a birds eye view pair of cheecks

You can get 7"-8" for $50.00, and same size Armatus for $350.00, if there is one available, so $50.00 is affordable to gamble
Does anyone have a picture of 1"-2" Armatus to compare if they have speckles like Tat? I saw baby Scomb not too long ago, look pretty much the same, except the tail is small and round
