Here's a pic of my male before I sold him. Probably around 5-6 inches and was a bit of a bully.

Jon, do you mind telling me who did you guys bought the glass you mention on a post with regards to the question of how thick a glass would have to be to walk on. I would appreciated very much if you let me know who I can talk to about getting a piece of glass to be use a a flooring for a porch that is above a living room. The idea is to be able to walk out of onto the porch with glass flooring so that the living room below gets much more light. You mention a contractor you used to work for bought it from LA. By far my favorite fish I have ever had so much character and tons of activity always playing with the sand or sticks. Always picks fights she never wins and Ive had to rehome oodles of fish for her saftey ahaha but shes the one fish Im keeping for good

i had one ages ago, was sold to me as a jack dempsey i think, sure wasnt sold to me as a nic though. anyways nice looking nics everyone!

Very nice Nics everyone.

Mine are territorial but dont harass the others too much. They have all grown up together about 2 years now.

haven't really noticed Nics til yesterday at a LFS they had a few 1 1/2"ers already showing color which caught my eye. I think they'll look great with my large geos. I'll post pics when i get em and they settle in

These were labeled as Costa Rica Cichlids they are only 2" the coloration is amazing I bought all 5 of em. sorry for the bad iphone pic quality

He continued to be a bully until he picked on a La Ceiba Yellow Head who decided she be better off with him dead. He's now living with 3 14" pbass and has learned to not be an ass.

I cant wait for mine to get bigger!!! All are 3/4-1 1/4". I love these fish.

I had a big wild caught pair a couple years back.

I think i posted a vid of them at one point on here, having a hard time finding it though.

Male was 11-12" easely and had the most amazing set of teeth i have ever seen on a cichlid.
