Ok I feel a little better about my pictures now....these guys are TOUGH to get a good picture of....The three males out of the 8 fry we picked up are almost 3" long by now...dwarfing the females and are just starting to show color. We are doing the same thing with a group of red jewels to form spawning pairs.

all i'd be getting would be stress mark coloration, and that wouldn't properly reflect the true beuty of these fish, as soon as the tanks up, they'll be in here:)

I just remembered seeing a thread earlier this year where a guy had a BIG Gold saum from Hawaii. he had it in his hand and it hung over both sides. I think it was 12" or so. VERY impressive fish. I dunno how he did it and still got those great colors to come out. I'm sure mine would be stressed too if I tried to handle it. Tough enough just to catch them :D

I wana see an adult real GT. Never seen one over 3" except for that one set of pics comparing them to the saum.

There was a guy selling true GT fry like 6 months ago. He had a video that he posted on youtube. Hold on lemme look for it real quick..............................

ok here it is. Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.ha

http://youtube.com/watch?v=rNx1xyRc8VQ

Click it on full screen. It's a fantastic looking fish IMO but I can see how it faded out to the orange saum in popularity with the general public. Orange saums blow them away in color and beauty with long flowing fins. The true A Rivulatus is more streamlined and stronger looking...do they come from rivers? Anyway my point is to show you the 'adult real GT' you wanted to see.
