because they come from nigeria and are black (no rasiest coment ment if any body takes it wrong.) they get big like 4ft ! take ages though !

ABSOLUTELY WRONG! They are called niger cats because the species name is oxydoras niger and the come from the amazon.

Anyone know why planiceps aren't very popular in fish keeping?
I've never seen one for sale, are they rare or something?
