pot scrubbies for bio media?

Believe it or not they kinda sit there even when not packed in tight. I have an old whisper filter I use them in with no lid and they stay put. If you're packing them in the lid from your hob helps hold them.
 
man, I can't find these anywhere in Long Beach.......Would Big Lots have them?
 
Big Lots is where I get them. 99 cents for a six pack.
 
Big Lots is great for scrubbies. 6/$1. I live by scrubbies, lava rock, and a FEW bioballs in my sumps.
 
just bought an XP3 and used pot scrubbies everywhere except the provided mechanical filtration pads.
 
This is great, I just bought an FX5 and was about to use Biomax, but now I'm stuffing it with scrubbies!

Question: In a canister filter, can I pack these in tight or should they fit loosely to allow the water to pass thru???

Really, in the FX5? My FX5 hasn't came in yet, but when I saw my buddy cleaning out his, they seemed like decent size baskets. So they only hold 6?
