Sort of. Pretty hard to see with the tank running because the roots are actually inside the overflow boxes, but here's an overhead view of them when I was setting up the tank. Far left is the return, center is the emergency drain and right is the primary. Both boxes are the same just reversed for the other box....can u please show me where - exactly - u located the roots ?

Two questions before I proceed to reinvent the proverbial wheel:
1) can pothos work under water or will they work, but just not as efficiently?
2) is there any formula to determine how much nitrate one plant absorbs per day?
3) does consumption reach a plateau or does it follow that when a plant grows by x grams it absorbs x grams of nitrate, whether young or mature?
