When I trim my pothos roots, I normally cut them in half length-wise. If I left them unchecked, they would be 4' long in a few months HAHA.
Here in Panama a friend has this version of Pothos growing where his "grey" water exits the house.

I was a little surprised when I realized what it was. Its growing all over the forest here, but stays small in the shade.
