Pound for Pound toughest fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I still say bettas...

as odd as it may sound my vote if we are going pound for pound would be a 4 striped damsel. Many think they are community fish but they are highly agressive. Out on the reef if they feel you are trying to threaten their territory they will try to take you on. Not bad for such a small fish

pound for pound, what do you think of THIS idea?:

say the fish knew they where in a fight, a TEAM BATTLE of 1 wolf fish + small Gator Gar + Snakehead Vs 50 juvenile Super Red Piranhas with a combined weight matching the three??

consider the 50 super reds as 1 contender since their team players anyway. they remind me of a swarm of bee's in the cartoons and the opposing fish must beat the whole, though each individual is small and inferior against its opposing predators.

The battle takes place in a 20,000 gallon pool with underground viewing glass

the winning team is determined when all 3 mega predators are taken down / all remaining piranhas are no longer attacking.

I would say that a pair of convicts can take on anything that doesn't have a moth big enough to swollow the whole.

piranhas don't swallow food whole. In fact my 5.5 inch piranha ate a 5 inch convict one time....took him a while but he kept at it.

well....assuming they were all already established in there,i would say the Ps would eventually all be eaten up,while some may take a few scales from the other fish.
the other fishes would probably mind their own business....
