The never ending thread -

OP says 12" - IMO one Fish stands alone - Cichlasoma Festae true Red Terror Male

The festae would make short work of most every fish listed @ 12"
LOLOLOLOLOLOL Festae? Go look at an umbee or dovii... Those are some real cichlids. Plus festae aren't even that aggressive compared to other fish.

During fish fights, there are a couple of things that are important if a certain fish wants to win. These are agility, weapons (teeth and jaws), aggressiveness, and fighting skills. I think that, if all freshwater fish fought at the same size, the mbuna Telmatochromis Dhonti would beat all others with ease. First off, it, like all other mbunas, is very agile and fast. Also, if you have ever kept one, the dhonti has huge jaws and one of the most powerful bite forces for its size. It is one of the most aggressive fish, and ranks #3 on mattimeos (chiclidmadness) list of the top cichlids. To top it off, because this mbuna has natural fighting instincts caused by territory disputes in the wild, it could beat other powerful and aggressive fish of the same size (Gatf, rhombs, chana)

i'd go with triggerfish..of ANY kind.. i hate those little bastards.. they spit at you too

Its suppose to be pound for pound....there are pictures of probably 20lb or more snakeheads....can you imagine how big a 20lb rhom would be? they are very light for their size..a 10 inch rhom more then likely will weigh less then 2lbs...a 20lb rhom would be like 30 inches easy, Its mouth would probably be eight inches across......I wouldnt want to put any fish in a tank with something like that and I do not believe a 20lb snakehead could beat that fish. Nor do I believe the snakehead would attack the rhom first. More then likely the rhom would just bite it in half. If this were just based on length...or fish types I wouldnt choose a rhom....but pound for pound? Im thinking the rhom would be a pretty safe bet.....

One other thing...people are bragging up all these other fish....some I have never seen. So I went to youtube to see some. All the other fish mentioned here are in tanks with other fish....NO RHOM video shows a tank mate....All the theorhetical stuff aside that should tell you something.

NEON TETRA!!!

exodons are crazy, think people over look them for their size, but ive seen fish 5 to 6 times larger in the same tank with 1 exodon at an LFS and they were in the top corner afraid.
