Hey Joshy, the exams went fine... I hope. I'm at work now, and things have been a bit hectic. But I hope to get some work done on the tank this week. I really want to have that little Oscar by Xmas.

Just a quick update.
The canopy is ready for staining and polyurethane. The inside will be epoxied with some left over tank epoxy.
In the pic you can make out the spray bar that is hooked up to the pump circulating the water.
Now I just need to finish that freaking stand!!! So I can get this puppy cycling

That tank rocks! I'm going to start building a 200-300gal tank in the next 6-9 months. Your tank looks great! Keep up the good work.

Hey guys, just a quick update.
The canopy is done.
The background is done.
The tank is done.
The stand is 90%.
Only things left to do is staining and polyurethaning the stand doors and building a sump. It's been slow going, but I'm liking the tank more and more.

ahoi maximus at last a fellow s.a man here that can share the pain of high pricing and lack of supplies in sunny south africa...i've been to a diffrent stores an no bulkheads to be found...10mm glass for a 600l (180g) @R2800...me thinks we should start a MFK section bout where to get cheaper supplies in S.AHey lekker man!
Yea, SA nails you with high prices. I can get 10mm glass @ R500 p/sqrm. That's in Pretoria. But I find the cheapest way to get glass is to whatch the Junk Mail for broken tanks. I picked up a cracked 2000mm x 610mm x 610mm for R150. The glass I got off that would have set me back R1600 !
Bonus... I'm building my 260G (1kl) plywood tank out of it. I'll start a thread on that as soon as this one is done.
