Praying mantis

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they are awesome, just to keep one or two of them takes up zero time or effort and is very rewarding to raise them from the size of an ant all the way up to an adult

Update: not sure if females have an extra molt but as of about a week ago, all are subadult. The slowest grower of the pack had a bad molt and can only use 1 of her forceps, and her back right leg is crooked, but hopefully this will fix itself next molt. also my ooth hatched a while ago, about 200 nymphs. i realesed all but 1, and now my nymph is L2, he is a runner and a jumper so its impossible for me to get pics of him

one of my creos molted to adult today, I love that patternDSC_0602.jpgDSC_0603.jpgDSC_0605.jpgDSC_0606.jpgDSC_0608.jpgDSC_0613.jpgDSC_0615.jpgDSC_0618.jpgDSC_0620.jpgDSC_0623.jpg that the wings have.

Man that thing has some formidable looking weapons!

You're making me really want to get some mantids. Not cool man, not cool. ;) :p

Then you might as well just leave, Ill have some more pics tomorrow to tempt you more. Sometimes if you get them angry or bother them when they are about to molt they will strike at you, but it doesnt hurt at all.
