How do you know its native? Where are you? Around here, there is the GREEN introduced Chinese mantis and the native BROWN Carolina mantis. Chinese are bigger.

Native or not, if you caught it outside, that means the species can thrive in your climate. So see if you can more or less replicate that in your aquarium. Plus give it lots of gutloaded crickets and the occasional small child.

Haha Im sure theres SOMEONE in your family you want to get rid of! ;)

Haha you can 'borrow' my little sister Bsixx ;)

lol
im down, need the free food

well in that case its the chinese green one thats huge, i mean its like 5" maybe more, still mean since i caught it inside from a nice place.

ahaha, there everywhere if you know how to look for them:D ill send you some:naughty:

Carolina mantids here in GA are green. I had a nice female with an anole for about a day... they both found a hole in the mesh and got out. Well, at least now I won't have to worry about escaped crickets keeping me up all night!
