Mine ate pellets and flakes the first day i put them in there, :D. Lucky me. No, I haven't tried a live one yet, but I have wanted to. I can't find a place around here that sells live pinkies though. Stupid LFS!
 
Mine will eat live foods while I'm standing right there, but he absolutely WILL NOT touch the catfish chucks I cut up for him. They were originally catfish filets, and he's definately not big enough for one of those!! lol

So I should feed him his catfish nibblies every other day until he starts taking them, and then daily once he starts eating them?
 
I found out when my neons up and 'peared.... -_-* and the bluegill minnows that were half his size (which I was hoping would deter him)

No more tank mates until he's bigger/slower!!
 
Sucks don't it!! lol

However, those fish got PWNED

i thought u guys were gunna flame me for asking, but yea, a pet store near me sells pinkies and little mice for like 99 cents. ( well the pet store is in salem, 1.5 hrs away ) but the close one doesnt sell feeder mice.

yes! and other dead foods, just dont give him live foods untill he starts eating dead foods.
