j/p lol i feed mine a platty the first day i got him, my blue ram used to always pick on the platty so i fed him to my p first day i got him. video taped it on my phone. but then i got a new phone :irked: you wont get flamed by me. lol i dont kno what a midas is :ROFL:

:irked:... no, I don't care. A midas is the first fish that I bought so I've just always kept one. They're mean when they get bigger though. My 10" one killed about 13 other fish in his tank, cleaned it out to just him. He was a glass banger:headbang2
 
if the lump thing wasnt so big itd be badass. its just the lump thing, i dono looks like a goldfish or someting. i dono......
 
They don't all get the big lump like that, mine had a hump, but not that big. It wasn't like a golf ball on their forehead, it was just a hump. My little 6" one is already attacking the glass, LOL.
 
I may have to sooner than I had expected. I'm feeding the rest of the catfish to Brian and the cats, the greasy feel of the meat has caused bacteria to grow in my P tank!!

I added some salt (1/8 c >) and stirred up the water so my filter could get some of it. We seriously need to upgrade our filter soon!! (and buy media for the one we're using!) Tomorrow we're going to pull a 50% water change, and hopefully that will help.
 
sushi, just get a bio wheel filter rated 10 gallong above what u have, and also, muy p will chew food spit it up and eatit again if its to big, then i siphon what he doesnt eat that day. if he doesnt eat it all just take it out after like 5 mins, itf its to small for a net just siphon a little of it out.

I'll have to see if I can hunt down a bio wheel, the only place I know to order them from chrages shipping and handling as a percentage of the price, not what it would cost to ship....:irked:
