I am thinking about getting a 40 gallon tank. I want a single predator fish or a single one with bigger schooling fish. Erythrinus erythrinus/red wolf fish/rainbow wolf fish are ilegal in Florida so I can’t keep one

some sort of puffer like arrow head or hairy puffer, Ctemopoma. nandus Nandus, Cichlid like fire mouth or convict, African butterfly fish, School of exodons just some ideas

Puffers for sure since wolfs are banned. A 5 star Hemichromis would work too. I’ve had a H. Frempongi for a couple months now and he’s very aggressive and predatory. Absolute glass banger
I kinda like exposing tetras and I do have them at my fish store so how much of those could be in a 40 breeder
