Fishburn's presence was to explain how to figure out and combat the predators, that's what I got from it but his crazy bit was a little over the top........For all we know the planet that they dropped onto could actually have been the predators home planet and that section the humans were hunted in was the preserve...I also did'nt like how that guy knew just what of plant that was.I enjoyed the movie though and I am a fan of the francise.I would'nt be shocked if there are more in the works..I think there is another Alien film coming out.

The redoe of the early 2000 one came out this year I think on all platforms. 1st person shooter but it just doesn't quite match up to the first one. The original AVP game was ace.

The predators movie was ok, nowhere near as good as the original or even predator 2.
The predator dogs got capped when they chased the humans, only one or 2 escaped.

that's what I'm saying though, they killed some but there was like 2 left seen later. what happened to them?

yea I guess his role was to explain a couple of things, that makes sense. but it's kind of dumb how he wanted their things so he tried to smoke them to death. why do that when he could've just used the local plants to disable them and kill them one at a time. he could've even ate them if he was that crazy.

but they definately left the ending open to do another movie

Should have been better. Didnt need the rapist guys comments, we all know a rapist is fd up without needing to here his gross crap. 70s guy ruined it for me. Looked like the same dang jungle and blah blah blah from the first one. Can someone please tell me why The Rock didnt play the lead instead of the Pianist? Something tht always kills me with Predator, though I do love the old ones and didnt hate this one, if it punched you in the chest hard enough to toss you about 30 yards, your rib cage just came out your butt, your not getting up, like they always do lmao.

I agree, it could've been a better movie. I guess I enjoyed it because I watched the movie expecting it to be bad. So it was a good "bad" movie I guess.

The rapist comments were a little weird dude, but it was kind of funny too. The jungle was not the same as the original. Way different. This new one seemed more like a forest.

I also questioned why they used the Pianist to play the lead role. I wouldn't have picked him myself, but he did ok I guess.

people always get knocked 20 feet in the air and fly 20 yards in movies. I hate that too. and when the predator stabbed 70's show guy and turned him over to find grenades stuck to his chest, that would've killed the predator or at least jack him up waaaaay more than it did

More thoughts.....Someone mentioned The Rock starring in the movie but his pay would have taken up a good bit of the budget...It's good to see Oleg Taktarov finding work long after his MMA career has ended. He had a similar gun to one that Jesse Ventura toted in the first film....I thought it was corny to have some Yakuza/samurai wannabe take out one of the predators. It would seem that their reflexes would be too fast and a human would be no match for them with such a primative weapon.

Ive been a lifelong fan of predator...aliens too
but predator>alien

Brody getting picked for the main role didnt suit the traditional bad-ass like Glover or Ahhhhnold...but I believe he did well. At least he himself was a fan of the Franchise from before.

I loved seeing all the little tid-bits and inklings that could be traced to the other movies.

IT WAS SHOT IN HAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!!!!! hehehe its always cool to see my islands' plants on the big screen.

Yautja are the most amazing race to ever be conceived. EVER. IMO nothing could conquer them lol...ive done a lot of research on Yaujta out of fascination, and their way of life is magnificent.

I never get tired of predator lol.

and yeah...morpheus was on that planet for...10 "seasons", was it?
i wonder how he got that fat...LOL...i was like WTF when he was trying to smoke everyone out.

i love that the movie honors the past ones...and i love that they show a little more culture of Predator in this movie...and NO FKING ALIENS IN THIS ONE!!!!!

This was one testament to the Yautja's "Honor" system.
It saw its opponent (Yakuza guy) was willing to take it one-on-one with a blade, and for fairness' sake, it chose to ensue the bout in that manner.

If they dont win, it simply means they're not worthy as a Predator, and they will change their methods and technology until they are undoubtedly the superior race.

nothing but admiration for them...and we think that we as humans hunt for sport...tah.

*"Lawrence Fishburne's part seemed kind of irrelevent and pointless"- I hated his part as well
*"There were no native animals, not only that but I think it was Jupiter that they saw in the sky and if that were the case, the planet would've been waaaaaay colder and there'd be no oxygen right? And the evnviornment wouldn't look like earth but I let that idea slide since it's a sci fi type movie"- The planet seen wasn't Jupiter, otherwise we would be able to see the planet they are on. It was a planet that looked like Jupiter but that is all.
*"How did the guy from That 70's Show know that one plant was poisonous?"-He explains at one point or another that he studied poisons and toxins.
*"I wish they would've explained the story behind the prisoner Predator"-They said there were two types of Predators and that the bigger stronger ones hated/hunted the smaller ones.
*"and what happened to all the alien dogs?"-I sort of remember them being killed at some point but I may be mistaken

^^^
There are "blooded" and "unblooded" predators.
"blooded" ones have seniority and have been on many successful hunts, giving them authority.
"unblooded" are the next generation.
