  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn they are pretty active and would get to big for a 75g
What about knife fish? I’ve always liked the look of them but never really researched or owned them. I could get a black ghost knife and name it Batman ?

Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn a Ghost Knife would get to big what about a group of African brown knifes? they get 8" ish sometimes bigger I have a group of them in my 75g

Would it be okay to do 1 African brow knife asking with some
Type of catfish still?

P. Bufonis is built like a mini rtc, not very active
Jexnell Jexnell Made a good suggestion I love the p. Ornatus and plan on having them some day I'll have to get with him and pick his brain about his experiences with them. A group of synodontis could work, most if not all of that family should fit for life in a 75g although thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter probably knows of one that gets massive (absolute wealth of knowledge, that guy)
A decent suggestion I could make would be the classic American native bullhead, granted it would probably be a solo wet pet due to final size but that can be fun and rewarding in its own way it just depends on your goal, unfortunately cats are predatory period if it fits in the mouth it goes in the mouth. Sorry for ranting I may or may not be inebriated

What are some other suggestions. How big do sturio cats get (not sure if that’s how it’s spelled but the catfish with the curved snout) edit: nvm looked it up and they are about 500$

It's tough in a 75. The smaller pims like pictus, albofasciatus, or blochii are good choices. Have you looked into synodontis cats? There are a lot of very pretty syno cats. I would consider a syno angelicus or decorus for your tank, maybe one of each.

For hiding catfish like the jaguar, one can arrange a hide using the front glass as one of the walls and be able to see their fish 24/7 but yes, the driftwood catfish won't be swimming for you in the waking hours of the day. Its an acquired taste, not everyone likes to have an inactive fish.

Examples of visible jags (and giant bumblebee catfish aka P bufonis in the first two pics):

I’ve done that in the past and will happily do again I don’t know why but I do absolutely love the jaguar catfish

Shame you are not here in the uk. Pier aquatics get 40+Jaguar cats in in a shipment hence the price is only £35 each. Just not a fish ive ever fancied.
