Predatory catfish for 75g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn no vultures are very active fish and would not have a good life in a 18" wide tank. If im not mistaken thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter has some huge vultures that looked to me to be 18" plus in his videos.
thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter do you have any recommendations for me

So your preferences are
[1] looks like your hybrid, that is Pimelodid looks with lots of well defined spots (Kelly's got good suggestions - pictus and blochii or albofasciatum or maculatus)
[2] predatory
[3] doesn't prey on tank mates (has to be smaller than tank mates then or be in conflict with the req [2])
[4] fits in a 75 for life

It sounds critical to know what tank mates you will want to have with it. You could start with the catfish and plan the tank mates around it, or start with the tank mates and search for a catfish on the basis of compatibility, or think through both at the same time. Which way would you like to go?

Definitely plan on catfish first and then finding tank mates

Was thinking of maybe having a platysilurus mucosus or something like that I’ve had one in the past. Sadly it died to popeye but I did really love that catfish mainly for its long fins and whiskers but wish it had more markings so if there are any catfish similar please inform me. I also will be researching
