that is too cool! nice video! makes me miss hystrix!! i have never seen one so calm giving birth. normally in the water column and swimming. never seen one sit still and push em out.

Thanks all! This was the first time I saw one of my rays giving birth. Seems to happen at night most times.

No, never have separated her. The male doesn't show any interest in her now. They always mate in late spring. I think it's seasonal.

That's interesting. I recorded my motoro giving birth, and they all came out tail first. All these looked like they came head first. Odd...
