maybe I didn't ask it right.. I know the whys of separating the female ect. ( makes 100% sense and I plan on doing this myself if my females get knocked up) but why are the "non-pregnant" rays getting more space then the prego females is my Q? ie to move around ect as they labor? curiosity question mainly.. I see a lot of pregoos on dividers that get what I would call "minimal" space to move around in and was wondering if there was a reason other then monopolizing a greater space? ie why isn't the tank split more in 1/2 ect so the female and her subsequent pups granted the greater space then the other tank-mates?
new to rays but every other animal I've bred in the past the pregnant females got "extra"space for being pregnant not what appears less... so I was wondering if its better for the pups of the female ect? or if its just a habit ect or what works out as a whole?
