Good luck man. I started out MFKing about the age you are now. Good to know you've done some homework, but doesn't hurt to do more. After all, you were afraid you'd mistakenly get a juvie silver.
Post pictures when you get one. I'd like to get one myself but they're a rare sight in these parts.

250 gallon is good for a 1 black arowana. just remember that at that age they are a lot more fragile. make sure you acclimate the fish correctly. otherwise the fins and stuff could just melt away - and i've seen it happen too. its a challenge but if your up to it then go for it.
