well most people used to think that motoro was a good starter ray but now people have kept rays for longer periods of time now i think most are finding that motoro are more hassle than they are woth when they get to 12inch+ and are far to aggressive to be kept with females in the same tanks
other rays are much better starter rays

hi, im in brisbane australia i bought 1 7'' male for 10 cichla monoculas and $600 cash .a pair 4'' for $2000 only had them for appox 2 months there are no other varietys available .i think i am the only one in qld with them .only a few in sydney breed them.chasing leopoldi though ,have 350gal tank for them 96''x40''x27'' wierd diamond kind of shape.

I had a breeding pair of f/w rays, they were about 30cm diam... i sold them for 3000 Austrralian. which is about 40 bucks usd
