Yeah, that's a sweet flagtail. How old is it? I can't wait for mine to be that big.

Even though I just got him this week, my oscar has pretty much instantly become my favorite fish. He has so much personality. As far as a fish that's worth the most, that would be my flagtail. Around here, I've only seen them for sale once, and it just happened to be during a big sale, so I got a fish marked for $50 (for a little 2.5" fish) for like $16. Once he's a monster (so far he's around 4"), he'll be worth a couple hundred.

I've had my Flagtail for close to 4 years now and he's about 12" and growing. I see them in stores around here for about $40 for a 3-incher. I bought him privately at 4 inches for $25. I had been looking for a good one for a couple of months and was very happy to get him!
By far my favourite fish.

wow, where are you located? i've seen 5-6in fairly frequently for around $20-$35 depending on if its the lfs or a chain-store. but i still highly doubt a flagtail being worth a couple hundred, regardless of size.
The only times I've seen big flagtails for sale online, people are asking like $200-250 for them.

of course... lots of farmland, but some companies have radio towers here cuz its so open. And guess what?! a local guy opened a petstore here out of his house, not alot of selection yet but i just got back from making a small purchase. just a spotted highfin;)
