Ok I am good then I hope. No way to find out though till tomorrow. I appreciate everything Lupin.

One last thing...

What about the flaky scales? It's not scales the best way I can describe it is it's literally dry skin. I am certain nothing is attacking it. it's not chuncks just the top layer?

Still looking the same as last night but his falking is gone and he swam up to the front of the tank like he wanted to eat but he didn't eat any massivore or shrimp.

Right now I have a power outage so I had to go get a battery powered air pump. I am putting off adding the second dose of tetracycline till the power gets back on.

hopefully i can help, your pictures arent real clear but some of the contusions look like possible columnaris, some of the symptoms you list agree too, do a little research on the web about columnaris, google is everywhere, if that is the case you are sort of on the right path with the tetracycline, it does work but columnaris kills quick, if you feel that its likely columnaris, i would suggest treating with kanamycin, you can find it in seachems kanaplex and its an active ingredient in furan 2, its also safe with all good bacteria, plants and etc and easily administered, if thats not the case and you feel the problem is some other bacterial problem , kanamycin is a broad spectrum treatment that cures most gram positive and gram negative bacterial infections, it saved one of my gulper catfishes of the few i had when tetracycline wasnt as fast acting, if you also feel this may be the case i suggest lowering the temp, this is one of the few diseases that cranking up the heat would be a bad thing, not saying im right, but just trying to be of help i know how it is to lose exspensive fish

Dead. Was still alive at 5 am when I went to work. I had to put off the second dose of tetracycline till the power was restored. I called from my apartment management at 11am and they said the power was restored at 10am. Went home at 12 to administer the second dose and it was too late.

All the others show no symptoms.

The first symptom I saw was heavy breathing on tuesday, wednesday was flaky skin(stress coat I I guess) and swelling eyes added first round of tetracycline, thursday morning he looked better(came to the glass like he wanted to eat but didn't, eye swelling was reduced and the flaky skin was gone) but while I was at work we had a bad storm and the power went out so I put off adding 2nd dose due to low water-movement(should of probably put it in anyway) , and finally today.
