you should really start using some kind of dechlorinator dude

dude... like i said .. 5 tanks .. all 5 get the same 20% water change never had a problem .. been doing it this way for years ... and since i have rays which are typically agreed upon as one of the harder fish to care for .. i would have to think that its not a problem .. as well as the 2 local fish stores that are within 1/2 mile of me who dont need to use chemicals with there water .. i would have to think that it is safe to use water without chemicals ..

just try man... it won't do any harm!

so where do i treat 100 gal of water at in my apt ... it would take days and days and bottles and bottles of chemicals do to water changes .. and then i would have to start it all over .. i would never have time to enjoy my fish

Just because you haven't killed your fish doesn't mean what you have done is good for them.aquasafe makes bottles of dechlorinator it sells for like $10 for a large bottle full.a cap full treats 20 gallons you have no excuse to not dechlor your water.I'm shocked your fish have survived with such a neglectful keeper.its not that expensive please give your fish the care they deserve

its soo sad that not only i keep my fish in this HORRIBLE place but the fist stores do the same thing .... and when i test my tap .. there is like a gazillion chemicals in it ..

or .. maybe ... i test my tap water .. and its safe to use ...

now .. please .. if you dont have something constructive to share .. troll along somewhere else please ..

bro i suggest just try prime..
it wont hurt..
its easy
just get the prime and put a capful in.. DONE!

Gotta treat any tap water, kuz I dought your tap doesnt have any chlorine an just kuz you have gotten lucky with this meathod doesnt mean its a good one to follow, an you cant get mad at people who are telling you what is wrong with your sitsuation when your the one with the dead fish asking for help if your such a fish genius then why are you posting this thread sking us AKA the REAL fish GENIUS's who treat our water because we know its what you do if your not using ro water an having to use tap. So step outside the box retain the good info the guys here are sharing with you an keep your fish alive. oh an sry to hear about your dat too, just use some stress coat its pretty dang cheap an gets the job done(NO DEAD FISH) in other words......

an keeping so many fish tanks does come with alittle work its not all fun but at the end of the day doing the job right
