Dump it in the day after you have a ammonia source. Etheir ammonia or live fish. And you are all set. Add it one time and forget about the cycling process for ever.

So safe start or stability? which should I use?:nilly:

If it were mine, and I've done this too...
Wash everything with Antit-bacterial soap and hot water, rinse. rinse and then rinse again...set up the tank like brand new, (which it will be) and fill with fresh water. Set you heater for desired temp.
I would run with "clorinated" (tap water) for 24 hours
Then use your de-chlorinator of choice, (I use API Stresscoat+) and de-chlorinate the water...
Let the tank run like that till you get your fish, then do as above...

Problem is you have a bout of ICH to get rid of and that's why you need to start over...

Really it's no problem if you tear down and sanitize with anti-bacterial soap and the run 24 hours with tap water...
Oh and "STABILITY" for sure...

Let me tell you the fastest way to cycle, this technique I used to cycle my 1,000G pond. Just get old filter media and mix it up with new media and have a powerhead drive lots of water through it, that's exactly what I did and in just over a week, my pond was completely cycled and I started to add monster 2' fish.

STABILITY is same day...

So im pretty iffy on this anti-bacterial soap thing. The thought of any kind of soap residues getting near my aquarium terrifies me.. Any particular brand of soap you recommed? Do I have to rinse the gravel with soap too or will just chlorinated tap water work?

Theres a 8" pleco at my LFS that I want, will he produce enough ammonia for the stability to work?

I use a few drops of DAWN in a couple gallons of hot water...
you're not trying to suds up the house just a few drops will do...

I would think the gravel is the most important to wash...
then, put it in a bucket or barrel and let the hose run water in it...

I would wait until I put all the fish in at once...

oookay, I guess I should've said fastest in relation to cost, cause using old media would be virtually free.

I wonder how much you would have to spend to cycle a 1,000G pond with Stability?

3.703 times what it cost me to do my
225g w/90g Wet/Dry 270g total water. (about 607.5 Ml)
or about 2250mls.
So depending on how much you have to pay for the STABLITY,
about 100 bucks

I had this same thing happen to me when I got back into the hobby a couple years ago. Seriously , empty the water 100% , clean off the gravel, clean out filter , get NEW media for it, START OVER. Then use anyone of these products people have suggested. Your sig says you have other tanks running, why not use some media from there filters , and some substrate, rocks ect. I recently set up my 180g with to HOB's , rocks and a large peice of driftwood from two established tanks and hardly had a noticable cycle. ( I also had a couple barbs in there) If your getting fish you plan to keep , start over bro.
