For all of you out there that like to overfeed (ewurm raises hand), this product is for you. This product removes all sorts of bad crap, including ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and other impurities, with supposedly little effect on trace elements. About $13 gets you a pouch that treats 100 gal. You just drop it in your filter. The really great thing is that it is rechargeable. It changes color when it has reached capacity, and then you go through a 1/2 day process of soaking in various things to recharge.

I am trying it on one of my tanks, I will update this thread with results.

Now I can safely feed 47 times a day!

Yes, it's good stuff. I used to use it 24/7 on oscar tanks. It would turn brown after only a couple days of several 13" oscars spewing half their food from their gills. Only downside was recharging it. I found it a bit of a pain.

Good to see that some people are already using it. I am starting with it in my oscar/bass tank. We'll see if it gets the nitrates lower.

I am using this on all tanks now with filters large enough to fit the packet in, it's a great product. It makes your water very clear and reduces nitrates.

UPDATE: This is a great product. Pretty easy to recharge, and it does remove nitrates, and other unwantables.

got a pic of it??????????????

You want me to take a pic of a filter pack? I will scan it after the Vikes game.

Good to see that some people are already using it? This product is not new or revolutionary their are other similar products on the market. I can not rate one over the other but I was kind of dissappointed it its capacity. I used it for awhile on my heavily planted and stocked 40b. To read the label you would think this was the greatest product ever with great capcity no in about a day and a half it is completely brown and needs recharging. I think maybe peat that I use may have helped turn the color so fast. I am gonna try it on my dog puffer and see how long it takes that pig to wear it out
