Reviving an old thread with a crappy update. I had the tank setup and running for a aprox a month and a half. Came home Sunday afternoon to hear the sump pump running dry and the sound of leaking water. It only leaked about 20 gal before I caught it, carpet is soaked and fish are in a temp 180 gal. So once again is the ANYBODY in the local area that would re seal this damn tank!!?!! Pics before the big leak.
I will gladly pay someone to re seal this tank. I know it can be sealed the glass is straight and chip free, I just don't have the skills for such a big tank I guess. Anyone who can or knows someone to re seal this tank please pm me. I will strip and clean it to get it ready just need someone to lay the silicone I'll even buy the beer. I got to much money invested to give up yet.. Or else it goes here or craigslist and I'll get anew one I guess...
wow this is scary i was thinking about resealing a used 220 i just bought. Havent tested for a leak but the silicone doesnt look all that great. This thread doesnt give me a whole lot of confidence. Does anyone think that i should just leave it if it doesnt leak when i leak test.
