Electric blue jacks seem to be a good investment also. But your return is only as good as the investment so its something you might consider

I breed frontosas. I don't make enough that my hubby can quit his job, but I make enough that I'm able to support my fish habit plus. And I charge 1/4 per fish what they charge at a lfs.

Profitable fish to breed:
Fish that is in demand. Easy to breed. Produce lots of fry. Cheap to feed. Quick to grow to a salable size.
