You can cross out Prognathochromis Perrieri out! The pics are finally here but is the fish fully colored?
It could be a Kyoga...It's coloring just looks a touch off...It could be though he is not fully colored as tydus had asked. Here is a pic of my old kyoga....You can see similarities. Let's see what tydus says as he is awesome with id's on vics.
Yeah, as soon as he showed some color, I knew he wasn't. If he colors up more in my tank, I will post more pics. But I have a good buddy who has showed an interest in them. They will probably be passed onto him as he has a 125g they will be going into. I figure they will be best off with as much space as possible.
Well am happy that we all figured out what it is, I would like to keep them but i figured they would be happier in a vic tank.
If it is a kyoga they are still cool fish. They can also be hard to find and are endangered as well.
How big is the fish? I know lighting and mood can throw off the colors at times, and they show color a little differently at different ages.
male is close to 6" females ~3" and the lighting is a twin flourescent strip, w/ 1 6700k bulb and one walmart plant grow bulb
