What I meant was, wait until ammonia and nitrite are zero AFTER you've been adding ammonia every day, or letting a prawn rot in there, for however long it takes.

overall things get better, everything is good and back on track, right now notice alot less white spots on aro but will proceed still with warmer temp to kill icks for good.
yes the aro is the weakest of species in my tank, BGK is supposedly the weaker i thought in every aspect. but they proved me wrong.
yes SA in the weakest fish in my tank, ick will attack the weakest fish in the tank once they established their kingdom they will attack others.
about fx5, yes im avoiding it, i know that product has good reviews here but i dislike cannister design after shopping for one at my LFS, they price wasnt bad too only $280 OTD..
the reason is just the design itself and i see leak with that kinda set-up, i would go make a sump pump set up instead with 2 or 3 AQ 110 for my future tank for back up.
and yes even if i have the asian aro i would treat it the same well maybe a bit better LOL

I'm done with this thread now. It is just a joke. You think your new wacky ideas are better than tried and tested, scientifically proven steps.
You just wont listen to people who have kept Aros successfully for years.

IMO, you are stubborn and don't like to admit you REALLY have no idea what you are doing. (The whole cycle issue you have is basic fishkeeping, that a begginer guppy keeper should know!)

Arowana is a "Pro" fish that deserves a "Pro" setup. Do your fish a favor and let a pro take him untill you get a little more practice!

Generally progress threads kave pics, how about some pics of your arowana. A picture of an arowana with ich would help deter others from treating their aros in such a manner. Of coarse this is if the aro is still alive.

You have proven yourself to be an "empty head" over and over again.

I feel sorry for any living thing under your care.

Your theory on cannisters..., what a joke. :screwy:

How sad, all these good people trying to help you....in vain.

:headshake....atlest change the title of the thread to 'what not to do' so some new person wanting to learn doesn't get confused by this pile.

If you are refering to my post, what flaming ?

The quote "empty head" is one which the op used in his previous (progress of...) post to describe anyone critical of his experiment.

To state all cannister filters are floods/leaks waiting to happen is an erroneous generalization, and sadly all efforts to help the op's arowana have been argued with and not taken to heart.

All fair comment imo.
