Progression of a bruteless king Aimara!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm officially close this Aimara progression!
We got a issued recently with this Aimara attacked my wife during maintenance schedule (she was helping me):):( mad, funny moment (I was laugh a bit when it's happened), and sad at same time cause I have to let it go, my friend will take care of it...I exported it half way around the world to Viet Nam (I have friend doing Air Cargo shipment every week to Viet Nam, it took around 24 hours to get to destination airport and my friend pick it up from there).

Sorry to hear that dude. I hope your wife is alright, it will be a great conversation piece in the future though. It's cool that you had someone in Vietnam you could trust, and actually ship to without all the trouble around it.

She was fell off the ladder but nothing serious beside small bleed from the bite mark, she just doesn't want me to keep that Aimara though, she still happy helping me out with other community species tanks :)

Sucks he had to go, glad she's not to hurt though.

They aren't for everyone. My girlfriend picked up the Iguaza we got from Wes at about 10". She opened the box, opened the bag to transfer to a bucket for acclimation and it nailed her. Jumped out and bit her on the way. She had to get it out from under the tank, got it back in the bucket and called me at work - screamed at me, cursed the fish and I had to come home and deal with it. Since then she's forgiven the fish but will not deal with any moving/re tanking of any Wolves, Tigers, heck any Characins with teeth.

It sounds funny but I know I feel MUCH better having a spotter with me when I'm in my big tank. There's simply too many dangers for only 2 eyes.

Wolves can make things really serious really fast. Glad nobody got hurt and there's no doctor bills involved.

Love all the aimara in this thread :)

*300 type voice* THIS IS MFK!!

Seriously, bad ass statement DB. I can totally imagine why you wouldn't feel comfortable to work in that tank alone.

Thats such a bummer. Im sure she would get over it. She didnt lose any digits. SO no harm, no foul. Keep the wolf and keep her outta the tank. Or better yet....put her in ;)

No offense, but something sounds fishy here...

You're lucky to have a helper! I run a one-man crew here. Just me and a net. There were a couple of close-call incidents, fortunately, no injury. You're absolutely on the spot about how quick wolf can make thing really serious! That's the reason I rather do the maintenance myself, so no one will pay for my sin!
