He was about 13 inch when I got him, an estimate but I am a builder and Im usually bang on.... I recently measured him againts the glass at a shade under 15 inch. So we are somewhere around 1cm per month I would say.

Nice post btw, the animal fat being thick at low temperatures really makes sense, thanks for that... also reports of cemeterys washing in lol, sounds interesting?

One'd be really surprised what ends up in rivers and then inside our beloved whiskered friends. The point being, however, all these are exceptions with unknown health consequences. IMO, it is better to play it safe and go by what we do know.

If you like exceptions: A sci article on tigerfish feeding on birds, snatching them out of air: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jfb.12278/abstract

It may be and likely is a fragile peace but it looks good for now. The tank's good looking as always. Fish too. Wyckii has blazing white lines on the caudal. Never seen them so bright and clean white before.

Now he takes pellets too, when you stopped overfeeding :)

Probably the dark slate bottom!-) he does seem alot more active. He came out later last night and him an rocky jus stopped stared at each other like a Mexican standoff!
