project black devil cat in a 300g community!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well he is still in my 300g community, far from the cold blooded killer that they are made out to be!-) he has his moments but if you get one like mine i dont see why they cant be successfully commed in larger tanks with other aggressive fish.

Looking good mate  hes an absolute beast now , when did you put the astro turf backing on ? Can't believe I've never thought of that lol tried everything else

Lol ive had iy since my 180g which it actually fitted, last resort for greeness with thr butti and he has even ripped loadsa that out already!! Yeah he is a good size now, 18inch last measure, quite personable for a catfish too!-)

cheers daz, wonder how big he will get in there, pc has them at 28 inch sl but i know alot of the hemibagrus never reach their full potential in aquaria... i know arapaimag had one at 2ft in his monster 56k gallon

have contemplated selling him a few times, mainly to free up options for stock but i cant bring myself too!-) he isnt very active spends alot of time in his cave, when he comes out its a good sight, swims like a shark on the hunt.

Yeah i understand that.its wrong in my part but my polypterus use to hide and everytime i wanted to show him to anyone they couldnt see it so i took out all hideaways and had them on show even had less aggression due to no caves to defend.

ive done that a few times but he rolls the wood and rocks from anywhere i put them and makes a cave/corner if i have deco in there, not into really bare tanks... he likes his cave anyhow, its at the end so i can see him.
Contemplated removing all other fish too, wondered if he would be out more?
