I think a .45 is the only way to go, knockdown power, but never liked the lack of safety's on the glocks, it seems like in a holster is one thing, but I have a sweet stainless colt and it had 4 different safety mechanisms, even my rem shotgun has 3. But, we're all particular about the guns we like. My bro in law to be maybe (haha! that was good) is a cop and he carries a glock, most cops do.

You live in socal and feel you don't need protection? are you rich or a trusting sort of person?? I would think a marlboro man in socal would need chick repellent!!! and an uzi.

They don't growm there like they do up here. I mainly have firearms due to remoteness and the damn wildlife is quite unfriendly.
