I would do a insump skimmer. It will make your life much easier. Now let me think of a really good 200. skimmer. As I said before you get what u pay for in skimmers. Let me grab a link hold on

I have heard nothing but good things from this company. I would go with the NW -200 it is 199.00 and is based on a deltec design I think. I just sold my MRC becket skimmer for a Euro Reef. It is also a needle wheel. I am going to upgrade my blog next week with pics. The only other thing you my want to do to that skimmer is to do a gate valve mod on the out put. I did that to my euro reef and it makes life much easier.
 
okay, and if it's too tall for the sump, like a little is haning out, is that okay? cus it says it 24 inches, and i think my sump is like 18 inches tall. They accept paypal, so I should be able to get it faster then i thought =) and just get more fish later, also does this make the water clearer too? Thanks!
 
It will remove the waste in your water. The skimmer will have a recomended water level it sits in. Just call and ask when u order. It is ok if some sticks out the top. That's how most are setup.
 
just ask about the recommended settings for the skimmer. or just order it and experiment with it.
 
i just checked their site, and i am thinking about the 150, cus my tank is about 80-90 g , + i think a 20-30 g sump. that valve mod is 40$... what's it do?
 
It allows you to control the internal water level easier than with the main drain pipe.
 
oh.... do you think its worth 40$ if i am only 15, don't have a job but get 30$ a week? I don't think i can afford it if it's just making it easier to control the water level, unless it is really important?
