PS3 80GB - $499... DROP AGAIN!

No No No. The 60Gb was the first release so it's full hardware is in there. Of course any later releases have some things stripped out so help with cutting costs. Like the old PS2 with a opening tray. Later changed to a thinner version with a flip top.

Hopefully the next version will make the PS3 20 pounds lighter and half the size.

Actually I kinda like the size. Same as the PS2. If I was buying a used PS2 I'd look for the motorized ones.

Does it really weigh that much? I never really checked.

I actually went to a guys house that had tons of old broken Xboxes (didn't ask whey he had many) but he was using them as door stoppers. LOL

Thats lame that the smaller hard drive is backwards compatible, but the bigger one is not. Way to go Sony, makes a whole lot of sense.
