and you couldn't tell the difference between a blu ray movie on the PS3 and an HD movie on the 360.

From what I've heard, one can't really notice the difference between 720p and 1080p unless they are playing on a massive HDTV

The max res of tv's is 1920x1080. Doesn't matter if the tv is 30" or 70". Same res. It is a huge difference. 1280x720 versus 1920x1080. That is a considerably higher amount of screen. Which provides an advantage while gaming.

If the Xbox is only 720p capable then why is there an option for 1080i and 1080p? Not to mention that 1080 looks much better on my 1080 tv than 720 does. Unless I am confused of course.

The system will put out 1080P but only plays the games in 720. No game on the 360 supports 1080. Even the ones that say they do, do not. They simply upscale 720.

Xbox has smoother online play for sure. And who cares about blu ray. Sure its better quality but seriously, not that big of a deal. The ps3 is a family/movie console that can barely play games online. The 360 was meant for hardcore gaming. That's why there's MLG (major league of gaming) for the 360 and not ps3.

Blu ray is A HUGE ****ING DEAL. With a maximum storage capacity more than four times than a dvd it provides many more options for games and MUCH better quality. Those who have played MGS4 know of the scene where it says "You need to switch disks. Oh wait, this is blu-ray so you don't need to.". Hilarious and true.

The PS3 is superior. Simple as that. People can say the xbox is better and that is there opinion. An ill-advised, stupid opinion, but still an opinion they are entitled to.

yea anyways.... netflix streems hd on ps3.. you talk smack and you don't even own both systems... online play is smooth and no little 6 year olds on mics.... i had both... sold xbox... unless your hardcore gamer that must play the new marios, halos, and other wii or xbox only titles... you will find yourself selling that pos 360... game called mag 200 people online at once... yea no lag in games... sorry to break it to you but ps3 is the better system... did it come out early to have everyone buying it first... nope.. but people are waking up..

o yea told friends little sister she should take her 360 and get it off the carpet so it aint over heatin.. i picked it up and the game started skipping... you could here the disk moving inside LMAO.. it was light as hell to!! things a joke... hope you all get that lame ring of death

i have cox... it flies... 1 computer downloading(stuff....), another computer gaming, and my gf streaming netflix in HD on ps3... tv, and satellite hooked up to router as well....cox crushes all the competition around here with their speeds.. maybe your only paying for the 20 dollar service better get some more cash flow..

and it's not about netflix... someone made an argument we got netflix and clearly has no idea about anything but his xbox...lol that was the point for my post... like i said ps3 owns and unless your some fanboy of xbox/wii only releases then you will sell your xbox like i did..

going on 3 years with my ps3, never had an issue, love the blue rays, love COD

i can't compare since i never had xbox 360. never played any of the Halo's. wish i did so i can see the difference

but based on what i've read here before and in other forums, it just depends on what you want or do more

i use my ps3 for movies a lot and it's a 52" tv, so blue ray is a big plus for me. and i love COD WAW and Black Ops regardless of what all the criticisms they have gotten. that's all that matters to me. so my choice is ps3.
