what i got from everything is, there are hardcore xbox people and hardcore ps3 people. all they do is bash eachother all day over which is better and why. both have valid points
in the end, i'd say go with what your friends have like some have already mentioned
i have a ps3, and love it, though i've never had an xbox let alone the 360 so there is nothing to compare it to.

I went through 5 xboxes I'm on my 6th one but this time it's the slim version. I also got the ps3. Xbox better online gaming. Ps3 if you sign up for psn plus you get 4 free games a month and it's 50 bucks a year. Single player games for the ps3 and multiplayer for the xbox. Netflix on xbox is better
