Hi guys,

I was just wondering, does anybody know what is the Ban Status of the high end pseudas like L24 or L25

Looking to get one in the near future.

Thanks.

As far as I know only Pseudacanthicus leopardus (L114/L600/LDA007) is currently allowed. But this doesn't mean the others aren't available, they just cost more.

What above poster said as far as I know, I heard from Janne on Planet catfish that they could possibly released this year 2010 but I kinda doubt it. Given the fact the the Brazilian government drags their azz with everything. I too would love to get my hands on a nice L-24.

Just to confirm once again, only ones currently allowed out are 114 & 600 (they aren't even caught in Brazil). All others are still on the ban list, but still available. Well some of them L25 being one that is usually available but big $

Your hardly see any L600 or LDA107, which considered the same fish by experts.
Like any Pseudacanthicus with red tail its beauty and size makes them pricey "rare".

Most people having L600, are very lucky if you ask me. Our Canadian Keepers see more L600 then we do here in USA. I am yet being able to import any of them, I mean the "real deal"

If you can ever find the actual list here is where to look (a start )
CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
This is where you can find all the banned species.
