Pseudopimelodus bufonius with bichir

Depends what you call, juvenile bichirs, and which type. If you mean 4” Senegal then no. If you mean 6” endlecheri then possibly yes. Although you would still have to watch for aggression and ensure the birchirs get food.
Oh sorry I have a 4 inch senegal and a 4 inch delhezi I plan on letting them grow for a bit
 
I wouldn’t be concerned about an adult Senegal getting eaten by pseudopimelodus bufonius but it will take longer to reach decent adult size which will only be around the same potential size as the catfish, maybe slightly larger.
But the cat has the potential to grow faster than the birchirs and be much more boisterous. So yes, let them grow before adding a cat.
