generally sharks will nip at lions fins, i think rays may as well.. but IDK for sure

eels are perfectly fine as long as neither is small enough to be considered food
 
My lion fish is also very intelligent! he knows that i´m only picking up a fallen decoration or taking out of the tank some bones he left from last livefeeding, he goes to one corner and remains there until i´m done with his tank. But he really gets angry when I pass my fingers through the glass, he hates that!!! Here at a LFS I saw a eel that was very similar to a humpback grouper(In coloration) is this a good type of eel to mix with a small volitans?:popcorn:

it's probably a tesselata eel.. a good match but very large and very aggressive.. if you have like a 180 gallon tank you could try it

if by some chance it was a chain link eel

then you could get away with it in like a 90 or so
