stupid laws because of the very few irresponsible people out there who released them and all of a sudden snakeheads are banned everywhere..its the same in canada - can't get/keep them here any more either..

well, Ontario at least has a ban. but of course, we are right here at the great lakes - they have caught snakehead in lake michigan - thats where all the fuss started up here about them.

the kind they caught is seldom avaible in the aquarium trade up here too.

they caught a 'northern' snakehead.

we only get the reds, striped etc species.

I have never ever seen the kind that is breeding in the great lakes for sale in an aquarium store..and I have been browsing the stores around here for almost 20 years now..2/3ds of my life.

This is what the DEC is banking on. As all the attention over this dies, they'll move in and do what they intended to do back on Feb 26th.
